Jumping into the consulting world was definitely a new experience for me and while I have been at it now for almost 4 years, there are still times that without a client that I am dedicated to, I actually feel lost. It’s not your typical consulting role that I took on – my husband and I opened our healthcare and IT consulting company together and since we are a small business, we wear many hats as the owners. My official title according to company paperwork and LinkedIn is Chief Operating Officer/HR Director, yet I also could be called an Accountant, a Project Manager, a Business Analyst, a Consultant, and the list goes on…For the first two years, I was directly tied to a client and shared my time with an organization that we were assisting which usually meant the “owner” duties sometimes fell to the side. It was in these moments where clients consumed most of my time and I was behind in almost everything else, I wished for the ability to slow down and focus more on actually running our business. Over the last few months, my role has drastically changed into that just that and to be honest, while I love the quieter moments at my desk I miss my clients. I almost feel lost and lacking in purpose without being fully dedicated to them. However, when I take a step back and look at this, it speaks volumes to the organization that we are building;  to the culture that we have talked about for the past 4 years, to the culture that I can see taking place and shaping who we are!

John and I always talked about the differences of working in the corporate world verses what it would be like if we owned our own company. We didn’t ever want our employees to feel like they were just another number, or that the work/life balance didn’t mean something to us. Instead, we stressed how they would be our number one priority and with that happy employees would result in happy clients.  If you love what you do, then you never work a day in your life, right? And it’s only natural that that would ooze out of our employees assuming they loved what they were doing with our company and in turn in all that they do for our clients. Well, it’s true! The love we have for our clients is amazing. The excitement that we feel when accomplishments are achieved, when return on investment is obvious, and even with the smaller day to day wins – It’s such a great feeling!!! It makes me proud to be partnering with them, each and every one of them and it makes me proud to work for John Lynch & Associates where our clients well-being and successes really do matter!!!

If you happen to be one of our clients and you are reading this, thank you for trusting us to be your partner! Thank you for giving us a chance and thank you for being you!! We truly love working with you!
